Jazmine Cardenas is a student at Barnard College, studying political science and human rights. Jazmine is an equity and inclusion committee member for Barnard’s Student Government Association, and she is proud to work with UNICEF USA as a National Youth Council member to empower underrepresented groups through various advocacy and policy initiatives. Her commitment to global gender justice is evident through her role as a Youth Advisor for Girl Up USA, a United Nations Foundation initiative focusing on empowering girls around the world.
