J. Celeste Lay is Associate Professor of political science and Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Newcomb-Tulane College at Tulane University. She is the author of A Midwestern Mosaic: Immigration and Political Socialization in Rural America (Temple University Press, 2012) and several articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is finishing a book on the civic effects of education reform in New Orleans and a study of the political socialization of young children.
