Kayln McKay is pursuing her bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Economics at American University. Originally from Chicago, she is passionate about healthcare, labor, and veterans issues. She has worked in three congressional offices, including the Senate HELP Committee under Ranking Member Bernie Sanders. She was named the Ed Greelegs Scholar by the Office of Senator Durbin because of her interest in public service and the legislative process. Kayln currently serves as Chair of Scholarships at the Brookfield Elks #1510 Lodge, where she has outreached to high school seniors to apply to the Elks National Foundation scholarship and created a local scholarship for low-income students.
