Tonia Bui
Tonia Bui is the founder and managing director of PWP Strategies, a Maryland-based strategic communications consulting firm working with organizations and community leaders to effectively connect with the communities they serve. Her portfolio includes launching a robust statewide Asian American outreach program for the Maryland Democratic Party in the 2024 General Election and leading communications efforts for state and county level campaigns across the state of Maryland. Currently, Tonia is a trainer of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) Regional Leadership Academy, a national program that provides current elected officials, individuals seeking to run for public office, and community leaders with the framework to run a successful political campaign. Tonia is also the co-host of The Blue Dumpling Podcast, which aims to bridge the gap in information and awareness surrounding Asian Americans in politics and civic life. She is a past Commissioner for Montgomery County Commission for Women.
Tonia holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender & Women’s Studies and Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master in Public Policy from American University. She currently resides with her husband in Silver Spring, Maryland.
